Aldourie Castle is situated on the shoreline of Loch Ness and offers a rare taste of Highland Estate living at its best. It is only six miles from the centre of Inverness and thirty minutes from the airport yet Aldourie's breathtaking beauty and tranquil, timeless atmosphere place it in a world of its own.

History
The only habitable castle on Loch Ness, Grade A-listed Aldourie dates back to 1626 when it was a mansion house but came to prominence in the Victorian era when the Fraser-Tytler family transformed it into an outstanding example of a Scottish Baronial castle, adding numerous turrets and towers. The Castle underwent a £10 million restoration in the early 2000s, when care was taken to restore original features, maintain its unique character and make it fit for luxury house parties of today.

Hire the Castle
Aldourie is available for guests to take over as their own home for a day, a week or longer. It can be hired exclusively for a variety of events and celebrations ranging from family get-togethers, special birthdays, social or sporting house parties and small, intimate weddings, to private Board of Directors meetings, company teambuilding away days, product launches, client incentive stays and media events. Aldourie Castle and Estate with its ample grounds, convenient location, excellent hospitality and actor accommodation, also makes an ideal film location.

Things to do
The surrounding 500 acre Highland Estate offers numerous walks and trails through woodland and along the loch, as well as a private pier for access by boat or trips on Loch Ness. Aldourie is an adventure playground making the private property with grounds ideal for multigenerational holidays. Children will have hours of fun in the man-made tree house, be spooked in the old family graveyard and have a whale of a time zorbing or hunting for Nessie on Loch Ness. Land or water based recreational activities can be organised and helicopter access to the Castle can also be arranged.
