The Lodge was completed in 1877 and has been recently refurbished by Laura Ashley, and stands on an elevated plateau surrounded by native woods with spectacular views over some of Scotland's most northerly ancient Caledonian Scots pine forest.

Originally built as a Sporting lodge, Alladale has maintained its traditional, yet sumptuous, style and comfort. Large elegant rooms with original fireplaces, tall sash windows and many antiques throughout, give you the sense and atmosphere of 'home-from-home'.

Set within a Highland reserve of 23,000 acres covering 5 glens, 2 river systems and 10 hill lochs, Alladale also offers a number of low impact outdoor activities and is renowned for its proactive restoration and conservation of indigenous Highland flora and fauna.

Activites available include stalking for up to 6 guns (2 groups of 3), fly fishing and clay pigeon shooting plus many more. Alladale is a fantastic venue for private House Parties or Corporate Retreats.

Chef Albert Roux OBE, KFO head of the famous cooking dynasty behind such establishments as Le Gavroche which was the first ever restaurant in the UK to be awarded three Michelin Stars, offers outstanding menus using local and seasonal produce wherever possible.

Alladale is open throughout the year. During the sporting season it continues to welcome guests who enjoy Alladale's challenging yet bountiful Red and Sika deer stalking and trout fishing. Set within a varied and dramatic landscape with stunning views, stalking is for up to 6 rifles (2 groups of 3) with the use of traditional garron ponies to bring the deer off the hill.
