Lying in the upper part of the picturesque Shinnel Glen and surrounded by over 2000 acres of its own farmland, Auchenbrack nestles on the banks of the Shinnel Burn, one of the tributaries off the middle Nith in central Dumfriesshire.
The house has been totally refitted and furnished to exacting standards and comprises of a reception hall, sitting room, full size billiard room, dining room (seats twenty four), television room and large kitchen/sitting room. There are nine double bedrooms with eight bath/shower rooms. A boot room and drying room are located in a converted bothy connected to the main house by a covered walkway which also houses two of the bedrooms. In the steading there is a large games room with a ping pong table. There is a further (staff) cottage with three double bedrooms available if required. (+6)
The housekeeper makes a daily visit and a local cook is available by arrangement.
Activities include walking, fishing and roe deer stalking on the estate and the resident gamekeeper can advise and book sporting days. There are several golf courses nearby.
