Auchmull Lodge was awarded top prize in the Angus Design Awards in 2009. The Auchmull project on the Gannochy Estate at Glen Esk involved an imaginative refurbishment of a 19th-century sporting lodge and its outbuilding on what was once considered to be one of Scotland's premier sporting estates.

The estate was bought by Allan Hemmings in 2004, and his refurbishment of Auchmull is part of ongoing work to bring the Gannochy Estate back to its former glory.

The refurbishment has included extending the lodge house to create an extensive library and converting the steading to provide self-catering accommodation for trainee gamekeepers.

Greenburn Croft, which sleeps four, is also available for rent. It is beautifully refurbished and is situated looking over the river.

Gannochy Estate may also be able to provide a cook dependent on the weeks chosen.

Gannochy Estate offers grouse shooting, deer stalking and salmon fishing on the estate's four mile beat of the North Esk.
