Quietly situated within its own private estate, Barscobe House is surrounded by beautiful countryside with commanding views stretching out across its gardens towards the hills of the Glenkens beyond, a regional scenic area located in Dumfries & Galloway, Southwest Scotland.

The house is a large family home that sleeps up to 17 people, located 2 miles from the village of Balmaclellan and 15 miles from the market town of Castle Douglas. With its own loch, hills, ancient woodlands and waterfalls on the Garple Burn, this secluded historic estate benefits from its own wild trout fishing, deer stalking and rough shoot, making it the perfect Scottish retreat.

With numerous other activities also locally available including golf, sailing, canoeing, water-skiing, hill walking and mountain biking, Barscobe House is also within easy distance of sandy beaches and a range of nationally famous country houses open to the public, such as Drumlanrig Castle and Dumfries House.

Rough shooting weekends available for up to 6 guns. Please speak to us for more information.
