Binsness is two miles from the nearest house but only five files from Forres, its nearest town. The oldest part of the house dates from circa 1650 and when it was an inn serving the village of Culbin which was buried by the Great Storm of 1693, thus creating the famous Culbin Sands. Other parts of the house were added later.

Binsness was partially extended and refurbished in 2005 and now boasts stylish new bathrooms and a new oil central heating system to ensure cosy stays all year round. This comfortable and charming family home also has two sittings rooms. There are wonderful views of the sea and down the yew avenue from the new porch, with window seats, and the small seating terrace above.
