West Harris is a playground for the adventurous, and there is a myriad of activities for those who enjoy the outdoors. There is plenty to do on the Estate, and in the environs of this coastal wonderland. In any season, the elements are intense, and there is a matching range of activities to allow one to get the most from a trip to Harris.

Salmon and sea trout fishing, wild brown trout fishing, red deer stalking, walked-up grouse and snipe shooting, clay shooting, walking, sea fishing, and bird watching are all available on the estate.

Lobster potting and mackerel fishing is available from the estate boat!

Stalking takes place on the Island of Taransay which is part of Borve Lodge Estate. You are taken over by rib - only a 4 minute trip. The island is one of the most pristine locations in the Outer Hebrides, with stunning talcum-sand beaches, rolling machair meadows, gargantuan rocks and various archaeological sites. Taransay became famous following the BBC TV series, Castaway, which was filmed there in 2000 with Ben Fogle.
