This splendid Regency mansion, built in 1810, has wonderful architectural features which have been carefully restored. Great venue for family reunions and groups of friends.

Cortes House makes an immediate impression with an alabaster-white hallway with stained-glass, interior windows and the Cortes coat of arms adorning the cornicing. The inner hall has timber stairs leading to the elegant, galleried first and second floor landings, which are flooded with light from the cupola above.

The interior is modern, simple and uncluttered, yet retains many period features including stunning cornices, marble fireplaces and high ceilings.

The house is set in five acres of mostly woodland, with a children's playground and secluded garden. Cortes House is an ideal base for exploring the north east coastline, bird watching and cycling.
