They are there to ensure that you have a memorable and relaxing stay, and they encourange guests to treat the castle as their own.
Fenton Tower is a property with a long and diverse history and the ownership has changed hands many times. After lying in ruins for over 300 years, the current owner decided to start the Tower's restoration in 1998. As it is a listed ancient monument and a Category A-listed building, Historic Scotland supervised the meticulous restoration. Fenton Tower has been two years in the planning and two years in restoration but has now opened its doors once again as a great Scottish house.
The extraordinary restoration project included installing Fenton's first roof for 250 years and the return of spiral staircases, turrets, eleven fireplaces and a garret. The fortified walls are up to eight feet thick in places, but the large windows on the upper levels allow the rooms to be flooded with natural light and are perfect for admiring the incredible views.
Set amongst rolling countryside, the property is surrounded by many famous golf courses, including North Berwick and Muirfield, and is the perfect base for your Scottish golf trip. If you prefer shooting or fishing, grouse, partridge and pheasant shoots for up to eight guns can be arranged, as can fly fishing on the nearby rivers.
Fenton Tower has been awarded the coveted Visit Scotland Exclusive Use Venues 5 gold star award
