The House of Glenmuick with its 14,000 acres is one of the great sporting estates of Royal Deeside. The house has a real charm and great atmosphere and is perfect for that special week, sporting holiday or celebration.
YOU SAY...
We had a great time at Glenmuick and it was lovely to return after a couple of years away.
We would very much like to book the same week in 2013. All was fine and i cannot say enough good things about Fern...she is a superstar! She gets on with the job in hand and always has a smile. Cook, Suzie Mackenzie-Smith and her helper Elizabeth were brilliant as well.
Thanks also to Ab and his team, they produced two excellent walked up grouse days and my house guests and family were pretty accurate with the stags and roe deer.
Nothing but praise for the team!

Salmon Fishing
The Glenmuick Beat of the River Dee lies at the centre of Ballater, Aberdeenshire and consists of around 1 mile of fishing on the right bank of the river. There are 13 named pools with reasonable access. Most can be reached by car but a 4 x 4 vehicle is an advantage. The beat is large enough to give variety and hence is fishable in some part at most heights of water. Two rods may fish the water at any one time but on different pools. Some wading is needed in order to make the best use of the water and the Dee Code of 'catch and release' is in operation for salmon although alternate seatrout may be kept. There is a fishing hut overlooking the main pools.
Addtional fishing for up to 8 rods is available on Monaltrie and Lower Invercauld, subject to availability.
Stalking
There are two stalking beats, enabling two stalking parties to go to the hill per day.
The mighty summit of Lochnagar, an Impressive 3800 ft mountain forms a breathtaking backdrop.
Shooting
Both walked up and driven grouse shooting days are available at Glenmuick and due to the wild nature of the birds provide some of the most challenging shooting in the world. Grouse days are subject to availability and numbers.

This was our fourth year at Glen Muick with our family and the experience is still one of the best holidays that the children enjoy. Our grandchildren of whom there are eleven vary in age from three to sixteen and they all enjoy different parts of the holiday. I have been in touch with George concerning next year and if the dates can be made to fit then we shall visit again. As always the premises and the staff are excellent.
Richard,

Dear George, I wanted to let you know how much we ADORED the House of Glenmuick. We had the most memorable week and birthday celebrations, and yes indeed, the balmy weather helped make everything that much more special. You were spot on, the house is a very unique place, and we felt totally at home there. Thank you also for everything you did to oil the wheels: the fishing, stalking and shooting were the icing on our cake, and very much appreciated! The chef you organised, namely Pip, is a GEM of the first order! We - as well as our guests - thought he was fantastic. Meanwhile, all the very best, and thank you once again. Kate.
I can't add much more to what Kate has said other than saying it was all ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! We had such a fantastic time and are already thinking hard for an excuse to go back soon! Thank you so much once again. Best wishes Tim
p.s. Pip certainly was a star. He really did make the stay thoroughly memorable
