Longueville is very much a family enterprise, run by William O’Callaghan, who is the chef and his wife Aisling, manages the front of house.

Longueville House is your ideal base for long walks, world class golf and fine food. Your meals will be created by William, chef and patron, who trained under Raymond Blanc (Le Manoir aux Quat’saisons).

His priceless experience is allied to a firm belief in same day freshness. Every evening seasonal produce from the estate, such as fresh salmon in season, the famous Beara lamb and all the fruit and vegetables are expertly prepared by William and served by their dedicated small staff team. Fresh vegetables, fruit and herbs come straight from the two-acre walled garden and both lamb and salmon come direct from the Longueville Farm and the Blackwater River that runs through the estate. Guests are encouraged to roam and enjoy the fabulous reclaimed walled kitchen garden.

A compact wine list of old and new world wines is also on offer.

You must sample their home grown and distilled Longueville House Apple Brandy, harvested from a 30 acre cider apple orchard on site! William also makes two artisan ciders, once again harvested from the apple orchard on the estate.

During the summer guests can enjoy salmon fishing on site on Longueville’s Beat of the Blackwater River. When the leaves fall, you can hunt mushrooms on the 400 acre wooded grounds… Other on site activity options are falconry on the lawn, hiking or gardening, plus an array of fun filled team building/ice breaking activities for all ages. More relaxing themed events such as yoga or knitting classes or art lessons, may be arranged for your party too with notice. Enjoy dawn chorus walks and winter game dinners.

There is a ‘rustic style’ games room located in the farmyard with pool table, table soccer, table tennis and ringboards to keep guests amused.

Longueville is perfect for high end, small groups, family gatherings, themed groups and corporate delegates, available to rent exclusively, guaranteeing attention and privacy.

Stay a week or a shorter stay (two night minimum stay), in numbers of up to 26 guests. Arrival day (though flexible) ideally Friday, Sunday, Monday or Tuesday.

Beyond Longueville, the Blackwater Way, the Nagle Mountains and the Boggeraghs await discovery – on foot or bike. Longueville is located 4 miles west of Mallow via the N72 to Killarney, where a welcome awaits, as warm as their log fires!

Longueville House is approximately 45 minutes by car from Cork Airport, 1 hour from Kerry Airport, 1.5 hours from Shannon Airport, 3.5 hours from Dublin Airport and 3.5 hours from Rosslare Ferryport.

Longueville House is open year round (subject to availability) for exclusive hire, from two nights upwards. Meal plans are booked at time of reservation (Dinner, Lunch, Afternoon tea, Picnics).
