"Dear George We had yet another triumph of a week. Both of the new boys achieved their first grouse and stag. We have now provided 1st grouse for 7 boys and 1st stags for 8 !! We had a very jolly day over the pointers on the Monday achieving 3 1/2 brace (mainly owing to poor shooting). Tuesday produced 2 stags and Wednesday 1 stag. On Thursday we had an excellent walked-up day for 9 1/2 brace. Toby went beating for the driven day on the estate and simply loved it. In all it was a joy and Bruce & his team's enthusiasm is just wonderful - they have become real friends particularly for Toby. We loved every moment and hopefully behaved ourselves. A million thanks for yet again providing such a gem. Same time next year please. Yrs ever George "

"We had a fantastic time in Skye and very memorable holiday, The Anchorage was really lovely with sea views across the front of the house and a very pleasant sun room to sit in, which was also at the front of the cottage which gave very panoramic views. We were very lucky on our trip to see the otters on more than one occasion which made my husband’s holiday. As far as the cottage was concerned I feel this was a very well equipped property with a very homely feel about it, so thank you very much for letting it to us for the week. "Just to say we had a fantastic time at St Cuthbert's. It was very comfortable, like home from home. The gardens were lovely and it was a pleasant surprise to find a climbing frame for the children. We would highly recommend it to our friends. All in all a great time was had by all. Fiona Burn, the caterer that came in to cook for us was excellent and highly recommended.
